Post Op After Care
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to support the lymphatic system and help eliminate toxins. It is recommended to drink half your body weight in fluid ounces.
Rest: Allow your body adequate time to rest and recover after the treatment.
Gentle Movement: Engage in light activities or gentle walking to promote circulation in accordance with the recommendations set forth by your surgeon.
Monitor Symptoms: Keep an eye on your body for any unusual swelling, pain, or discomfort. If these occur, contact your healthcare provider.
Follow-Up Care: Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments with your healthcare provider or massage therapist for continued monitoring and support.
Skin Care: Avoid applying lotions or creams to sensitive areas for the first 24 hours after treatment.
Avoid Heat: Stay away from hot baths, saunas, or steam rooms for at least 12 weeks, as heat can increase swelling and increase risk of infection. It is always recommended to receive clearance from your surgeon prior to getting in a sauna.
